Get the Carrot

Find the Tourist near a tree on Island 3, the tropical or Desert island with palm trees and the Grill Master. The task asks for a creature marked Endangered, caught with Standard Lure. A Seahorse is a demonstrated qualifying hand-in, while video guidance also presents Needlefish and Bowlish as practical examples.

Read the active tag and use the current NPC acceptance result instead of assuming that any named species will always work. One guide notes that a Drip creature alone does not necessarily satisfy the objective. The required condition is the Tourist's current Endangered task, not a generic Drip-creature requirement.

Hand the accepted catch to the Tourist to receive Carrot. The bait is consumed by an attempt, so do not cast it merely to test the arena. Restore health, prepare ammunition, and equip a controllable ranged weapon first.

Prepare the arena before casting

Choose a thick tree, a large rock, or a pair of solid objects that you can circle repeatedly. Walk the entire route before the summon and reject any loop that closes against the shoreline, a small prop, or a dead end. Start near the outer edge so there is room to enlarge the path later.

Terrain can interrupt a charge, but it should not be treated as a permanent lock. The small early form can pass through gaps that the larger form may not use in the same way. Keep an open escape direction in case the Boss changes course or slips around cover.

A recorded loadout uses an SMG with Compensator and Laser Sight, keeps iron sights, and upgrades ammunition. Another guide recommends any ranged weapon whose recoil and reload cycle are already familiar. Those are preparation examples rather than a requirement to buy one exact weapon setup.

Summon Pufferfish safely

Pufferfish becomes larger as it takes damage, so the opening route may become too tight. Increase your radius and preserve the same obstacle-based rhythm rather than cutting closer for faster shots. The growing body can be easier to obstruct with terrain, but it also needs more space to pass safely.

In recorded footage, a purple poison trail begins around the later half of the encounter. Crossing the residue causes continuing damage, so do not shorten the loop through the trail. Widen the route and wait for a clear firing window on the outside.

In co-op, the targeted player should concentrate on leading Pufferfish around the planned route. Other players can shoot from separated angles while keeping out of that movement lane. Stacking everyone behind one tree can cause collisions and dangerous aggro changes.

Recover the quest trophy

The kill produces multiple drops, but the required story object is the smaller exposed skeletal tail-shaped trophy. Search the ground carefully instead of picking up ordinary meat and leaving. Boss death and quest progression are not the same state until the special item is returned.

Carry the tail trophy back to the Tourist. The supported reward is the flash drive containing Island 4 coordinates. If progression does not advance, confirm that you delivered the special tail rather than a normal meat piece.

Common failure points

The most consistent failures come from using the one-use Carrot before preparing, fighting in open ground, entering a dead end, or keeping a circle that becomes too narrow. Long firing bursts can also leave the player stationary during a charge. Moving into melee for the last hit adds risk without being part of the supported method.

Small props and shorelines can close an otherwise useful route, while terrain obstruction can fail if treated as permanent. Rehearse the full circle, keep a spare escape direction, and move after every firing window.
